DESCRIPTION:“Unearth a Story” is the  2026 Summer Reading Program them
 e. The purpose of this program is to encourage the youth of our community 
 to check out books from the Schulenburg Public Library.  The 2026 Summer R
 eading Program is for the following age groups:\n\nRead-to-me (infant to 4
  years olds)\, a parent or guardian is required to read 15 books to their 
 child.   \nAge 5-9\, the child is required to read 15 books.\n\nAge 10-12\
 , the child is required to read 10-chapter books. \n \nFamilies are invite
 d to join the 2026 Texas Reading Program!  By doing so\, you will help you
 r child retain hard earned reading skills acquired during the school year.
   Parents should bring their child or children to check out books from the
  Schulenburg Public Library.  Only books from the Schulenburg Public Libra
 ry can be recorded on the child’s reading log.  The books have to be tak
 en home and read.   Parents or guardians my sign their child up after read
 ing their books they checked out from the library. The reading program beg
 ins on June 1\, 2026 and will end on July 31\, 2026. The library has much 
 more to offer.  Come check out the scheduled events.  You can contact the 
 Library at (979) 743 3345 for a schedule of planned events.  The hours are
  Monday 10:00 a.m. to 8 P.M.\, Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Contact people are Cindy Lytle and
  Donna Holub.  Joining the library is free and all programs are free of ch
 arge.
