Build a Better World

Build a Better World is the theme of the 2017 Summer Reading Program.  Readers of all ages will explore all things scientific as the Schulenburg Public Library presents Build a Better World during their summer library reading program.  In addition to  selecting a wide range of books, there will be activities including a magician show, animals, puppet shows, music and more.

The purpose of the summer reading program is to encourage the youth of our community to check out books from the Schulenburg Public Library.  The 2017 Summer Reading Program is for the following age groups:

Read-to-Me is for infants to age 4.  A parent or guardian reads 15 picture books to their child.

Age 5-9 the child reads 15 picture books.

Age 10 - 12 the child reads 10 chapter books.

Families are invited to join the 2017 Texas Reading Program!  By joining the Summer Reading Program, your child will retain and build the reading skills acquired during the school year.  Come register your child for the Reading  Program which begins on June 1, 2017 and ends on July 19, 2017.

There will be story hour, craft time, and puppet shows.  The first event is June 2 and the last program is on July 22.
